As previously posted, Daiki Kiwada Sensei (7 Dan, Renshi / 2012 All Japan Champion / 2009, 2012 World Champion Team Division) from Osaka Police will be visiting Canada from Sep 30th – Oct 11th.
Kiwada Sensei’s visit is made possible largely by the relationship between Chuo University and the University of Toronto. He will be visiting Montreal / Toronto / Vancouver.
Kiwada Sensei’s Toronto Keiko Schedule (Oct 1-6) is as follows:
- Sunday, October 1:
Location: JCCC
Time: 10:00 a.m. ~ noonAs this will be the first keiko for Kiwada Sensei in Canada, we would like to take this opportunity to have Kiwada Sensei get an understanding of the level of Kendo in Canada. He will thus observe keiko in the beginning and then join motodachi-geiko. This practice is open to all who are able to attend. - Wednesday, October 4:
Location: Etobicoke Kendo & Iaido Club
Time: 7:00 ~ 9:00 p.m.This practice will be shiai-geiko followed by motodachi-geiko and is open to all who are able to attend. - Thursday, October 5:
Location: University of Toronto Kendo Club
Time: 9:00 ~ 10:30 p.m.Practice will be motodachi-geiko and is open to all who are able to attend. - Friday, October 6:
Location: JCCC
Time: 7:00 ~ 8:00 p.m.This will be a motodachi-geiko practice open to all who are able to attend.Following this practice, there will be a further session from 8:00~10:00 p.m. for Team Canada members only.
