The Forest City Kendo Club held a farewell godo keiko for Miyagawa Sensei on Friday, April 20th. Many kendoka from Toronto area dojos made the trek to London to honour Miyagawa Sensei, including a number of Team Canada members.

Mark Kawabe presented a certificate of appreciation to Miyagawa Sensei on behalf of Kendo Ontario. Miyagawa Sensei’s contributions to the development of kendo in the university clubs and the SWORD area are greatly appreciated and we will miss his energy and enthusiasm.
